look in a mirror
see a parody of this life
a cartoon perfect-picture-frame
free of anger, jealousy, strife
a thousand miseries
a thousand words
the parody of life in a parody of the world
it's a joke, it's a token
it is everything and nothing
and you cannot take this comedy
and make it into something
with some meaning, with some rhyme
with a matching place in time
no one knows, that's for sure
why we're here and what we're for
we're comical actors in a comical play
we're going through our day-to-day
watching through a microscope
God might watch us, yes we hope
but what if this is all a play
the stage is just another day
the everyday, mundane are props
the best actors come out on top
but will this parody ever stop?
so what's the parody of the perfect world?
the "real-live" boy?
or that perfect mirror girl?
who's to say and who's to blame?
... we know they both are not the same.
